- Marwari College is a very prominent and prestigious College institution based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India that provides higher education. Evidently, this college was established back in the year 1963. The Marwari Shiksha Trust was behind the establishment of this institution. Furthermore, along with providing higher education to the young and promising students of society they specially focus on uplifting the tribes and downtrodden. This college came into existence because of the efforts of Late Ganga Prasad Budhia. He was also the first president of this college till the time of his unfortunate demise.
- Initially, this college started with just 30 students enrolled in Pre-University classes. Thereafter, they started other batches. Specifically, there were 76 students enrolled in B Com now along with 64 students in BA. Evidently, Sri BN Chaubey was the first principal of this college. And, sometime later in July of 1967 a separate wing was established to cater to girl students. The reason behind this was that the number of students was constantly increasing. In 1968, this college got recognised by the UGC. Whereas, this college also has NAAC Accreditation for higher studies. This accreditation was achieved by this college in May of 2004. Currently, this college is known to provide a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- In December of 2010, UGC awarded this college with “Potential for Excellence” award. This college’s mission is to initiate the training process for the students in regards to professional and soft skills. Hence, making them industry ready.
